Cafe Genovese in St. Johns

Truly, a place where the locals go. The food is delicious. Restaurant is clean. Hamburgers and breakfast food. The Grit Bowl is tasty! Best onions rings anywhere. Staff is busy and efficient. Give it a try and you will come back.

Food is great and the atmosphere is very cozy and inviting. My husband loves their sausage grit bowl and appreciates the fact it is a big serving, he has never finished it and the dude can eat. I love their French toast! We definitely want to name this place a regular occurence.

Such a friendly staff! My friend and I stopped in here for breakfast and sat at the bar. The waiters, cook, and customers all talk to each other and we loved it!! Such a gem of a restaurant! Thank you for the great experience!

I’ve lived in the area for 7 years and never knew this place existed before today. Great food, friendly service, it’s the diner I’ve been looking for. Really wish this place were open on Sundays and closed on a weekday instead, especially around here where the choices for Sunday breakfast are extremely limited. But really enjoyed it and looking forward to going back for breakfast soon.

This is a little known gem of St Augustine. The food comes out fresh and hot, and the service is warm and friendly. It's a great location amongst other businesses within an industrial park.

Awesome place to eat in St.John at Plaza 210, The Cheese Steak is my favorite with seasoned fries, They have a great menu awesome cheese burger. On Saturdays packed for breakfast. Great staff.

Great if you're in the mood for a greasy spoon meal! Had an omelette with hashbrowns and it was hearty and delicious.

Great breakfast and lunch. Generous portions, really affordable prices, and a great family atmosphere. Visit a few times and they will know your name and favorites! I highly recommend the French Dip if you're in a lunch mood.

I could kick myself in the but for going to a well known "Walfe" place for several years when I could have been going here. A friend of mine told me about here because I was complaining at the lack of breakfast places around here that you can sit down and eat. This guy cooks some really good stuff. I have been coming here for several weeks now for breakfast. I cannot tell you how well the lunch is (yet), but they are friendly people, the place is clean, and the food is really good.Update 10/1/19 ; I had the opportunity to eat lunch and it was great. I had the Philly cheese steak that was highly recommended and it did not disappoint whatsoever.

The locals obviously eat here. People are greeted by name when they walk in the door. Will definitely eat here the next time we are in the area.

Like a modern day speakeasy ... off the beaten path and hard to tell if they are open.Cafe Genovese, just a short distance from I95, has discrete signage on CR 210 located in a small commercial/warehouse strip. Once you find them they have smoked glass that makes it hard to tell if they are open. Despite looking closed and the lights out, I was surprised to find the place packed every table and the counter full.For breakfast I had corned beef hash, an egg over easy with rye toast. All delicious, fresh and prepared to order. The staff are friendly and welcoming and many of the patrons seem to know one another.

Best grits I've ever had! Superbly prepared burger. Fantastic onion rings! The food and people are awesome. They close early, which could be a problem for some. Try to catch them while they're open and enjoy.

A true American Cafe. Very attentive service!

This restaraunt is a diamond off the beaten path. Mario and his family do things fresh, old school, "where they know your name" service and it does not disappoint. The menu is great, the food is better, and the folks are always offering up spirited conversation on sports, local news, whatever! The prices here are unbelievable for the plates/portions and the service here is always top notch.

Ordered Belgian Waffle and Buffalo Wings, made my own Chicken and Waffles type deal. Mixed their hot sauce and syrup to dip the waffle, had a great sweet and hot pop to it! Definitely coming back next I'm in the area and have time for lunch!

My father come here every tue morning to talk about the week and stay connected. The staff here is so amazing. They know our names and our order when we sit down. I want to thank them for the best service. I crave your food! Thank you!

Best food in St.Johns county.Most places I've eaten at don't even compare to this little gem.They also have Taylor pork roll.That speaks volumes to me.By the way check out a real Philly cheese steak.
